The big question in individual counselling and coaching is how to support the desire for change and establishment of healthy habits in everyday life.Despite the increasing knowledge of the health and its usefulness, people are sometimes unable or not motivated to
change their own behaviour. There is a great need for new or differential interventions that aim to increase motivation and behaviour change, especially among physically inactive individuals or individuals who are not interested to take care of their health. One of these “new” methods is ACT which aims to increase psychological exibility. “Psychological exibility is de ned as the ability to be in the present moment with full awareness and openness to experiences based on one’s own values in life.”(Kangasniemi 2015)
