This course provides a general understanding of environments’
impact on health. The environment in which we live and which affects our health is complex and generally not immediately visible or perceptible. It is therefore essential that people are able to understand the general mechanisms and ways in which the environment affects health. It is also important to be aware how the negative effects of the environment can be reduced and the positive ones increased.
e teacher of Metropolia University of Applied Sciences
There is a rapid urbanization in today’s world, so we need to understand the connection between human health and cities and promote citizens’ health.
