Health promotion knowledge-base is built on the health promotion fundamental milestones and approaches, as the Ottawa Charter, multidisciplinary knowledge, ethical issues, concepts of health
and well-being. Understanding and re ecting on these issues is essential to adopting a promotive and proactive orientation for improving peoples and populations’ health. The structures and institutions for health promotion activities at national and international level helps to perceive health promotion practice locally as well as globally.
