There are direct or connected flights to Tallinn from many European cities. Tallinn airport terminal is only 4 km away from city centre and it provides a wide variety of services. From the airport you can take bus no. 2 to the city centre. Buses run from 7.00 am until 24.00 between airport, city centre and sea-port in every 20 minutes, stopping in front of the Arrival Hall. Taxi stop is also in front of the Arrival Hall. The trip from the airport to the city takes about 10-15 minutes. The estimated cost for the trip is about 150 EEK. See also Instructions for Tallinn taxi passengers. Please note that taxis only accept Estonian kroons. There are exchange offices at the airport. The official exchange rate is 1 EUR = 15,65 EEK. By Ferryboats Ferries cross the Gulf of Finland between Tallinn and Helsinki several times a day. Ferries to Stockholm leave every other evening and the trip takes approximately 15 hours. Ferry terminals are located close to the Old Town area. From the seaport you can take bus no. 2 to the city centre. Tallinn University is within walking distance from the city centre. From the bus station you can take bus no. 17A or 23 or 23A or tram no. 4 or 2 to the city centre. Tallinn University is within walking distance from the city centre.
