– Dg sante uses SHARE for their set of indicators, including the demographic and socio-economic situation (e.g., income inequality); health status (e.g. cancer incidence); health determinants (e.g., consumption of fruit); and health services (e.g. insurance coverage). SHARE was also used to compute health-adjusted life expectancies in Europe.
– SHARE has supported Dg empl in the ever more important topic of access to social protection among those who are precariously employed (including self-employed, temporary, seasonal and part-time employment, and employment with  xed-duration contracts). Results have been published in the Pension Adequacy Report (2018) by DG EmPL in may 2018.
– in france, the controversial debate about the retirement age was moderated by SHARE  ndings, especially by the idea of adapting work conditions a er age 50 as a pre-condition for later retirement.
– in slovenia, the SHARE data was instrumental for its recent report “Demographic change and its economic and social consequences”, e.g. to estimate the number
of people providing informal care, the degree of social inclusion and the housing situation.
– in the Czech republic, a new law on long-term care speci es a list of activities (mobility, communication, orientation, nutrition, dressing, hygiene etc.) for which a person needs help and may qualify for social service provided by the government.  e Czech ministry of Labour and Social A airs asked SHARE researchers to calibrate this list to the proportion of the population that needs assistance.
– in estonia, the ministry of Social A airs has used SHARE data for the Green Paper on Nutrition and Physical Activity (underweight, obesity, physical activity of older people). SHARE data have been used also for the Estonian mental health state evaluation focusing on older people suicides and depression as well as for understanding the burden of care and outline the possible action plan to tackle it.
